The idea for this section came after a hot summer evening that involved watermelon margaritas and a heated discussion on the proper way to spike a watermelon. We also had to debate the merits of the naming convention. Is it properly called spiking a watermelon or plugging a watermelon? That is one debate none of us have ever won. The great watermelon debate continues to this day. But we did discover that we knew way too many recipes that involved watermelons and alcohol. So for you not so faint of heart watermelon crazed purveyors of the finer things in life... drum roll please.. a section devoted to those over the legal drinking age and watermelons!
