Ingredients
- 1- 8 to 10 lb watermelon
- 10 Tbs Flour or brown Sugar
- 7 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 egg whites
- 3 cups vegetable oil
- Powdered sugar
Cut the watermelon in half and cut into small chunks. Remove seeds. Coat with flour or brown sugar. If you use brown sugar do not sprinkle with powdered sugar. Mix the egg whites with cornstarch and a little water into a batter. Heat oil to about 250 degrees. Dip the watermelon chucks in the batter and add to the oil. Fry until the coating is firm and golden.
